The family of Barry Jackson is saddened to announce his passing on July 28th, 2025 at the age of 88.
Barry was predeceased by his parent’s John and Pricilla Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Patricia Jackson (Larche); his son Gregory; daughter Debbie; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons, and one great granddaughter; his sister Diane; and his brother Douglas.
Barry was born and raised in Winnipeg MB, in the Transcona area.
Barry was a man of strength, will, fortitude, and talent. He spent his career with the CNR. He was also great trumpet player who played here in Winnipeg, Arizona, Texas and Mexico.
Barry was a wonderful family man who taught us many things. As his health deteriorated, he moved into the Fred Douglas Lodge where he gained a whole new family.
In keeping with Barry’s wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
