Christopher George Myers

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher George Myers on January 30, 2026, at the age of 52.

Chris was born on November 2, 1973, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Walter Myers and the late Joyce Myers (nee Cechvala). He is lovingly remembered by his son, Brenden; his granddaughter, Melody; his father, Walter; and his stepmother, Marilyn Myers (nee Dark). He also leaves behind his brother, Scott Myers, along with many cherished family members and dear friends.

Chris lived his life with enthusiasm and purpose, whether at work or at home. Always the first to engage, his infectious smile and vibrant spirit brought joy to everyone around him. After moving to Altona, Chris became deeply involved in his new community. He was a dedicated member of The Community Exchange, where he was instrumental in launching the Beyond Barriers Coffee and support group. His genuine care, big heart, and even his legendary chili will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held and announced in the spring.
