Clifford Wade Otto was born on June 21, 1964. On September 16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, he peacefully passed away at home. He is survived by his husband, Myron; his mother, Evelyn; his twin brother, Jeff, and sister-in-law, Janice; and his older brother, Hal. Cliff will be profoundly missed.
If you were to look through the contents of Cliff’s suitcase of memories, you might be surprised at the variety and nuance of his interests and experiences. But you would not be surprised by the shine of all the gold stars he collected along his journey. Cliff was a man who thrived by and honored his independence. He had character and was a natural-born charmer. He wore his own sense of style and stood behind it. He was known to be happy-go-lucky, hot-headed, private, stubborn, creative, trustworthy, loyal, open-hearted, and genuine through the changing decades of his life. He wore his vulnerability like a gruff suit of armor to protect the velvet heart beneath.
Cliff never lost his deep satisfaction with a clean room. He was often the life of a social call or the perfect, lively companion for any event. In time, the frat boy quickly matured into an independent, hard-working, life-loving man who courageously faced his truth and embraced the freedom to be himself. Yet, he was missing something. One summer day, he took a chance and began a friendship that changed his life forever. In that relationship, he found a best friend, a hobby partner, a supporter, a muse, and a loving husband. Together, he and Myron shared fourteen years filled with love, laughter, and adventure, supporting one another through the unknowns of modern life with a joyful and deeply meaningful connection.
May Cliff rest in peace, and may his spirit be playful and free.
