Daniel Warren Eilers

It is with great sorrow that we mourn the sudden and unexpected passing of Daniel Warren Eilers at the age of 45 years on September 25, 2024. Daniel will be lovingly remembered by his mother Patti, his father Warren (Marie Boehm), his sister Kimberlee Brooks (Chris), his nephews; Easton, Ty, Dane, and Davin, and many extended family members.

He was predeceased by his grandparents; Michael and Sophie Korchinski, and Giles and Violet Eilers.

He attended Dauphin Regional Comprehensive School and was well known for his basketball skills. He moved to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba enrolling in B.Sc. Zoology with a specialty in Entomology (honey bees).

During the summers, he worked as an Apiculture Assistant with Western Sky Apiaries, Dauphin. Next, he worked as an Apiary Inspector, Apiculture Field Assistant, and Laboratory Assistant with Manitoba Agriculture and Food.

His last employment was with Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg in Diagnostic Services.

Daniel enjoyed basketball (avid Toronto Raptors fan), hiking, biking, and fishing in many of the trails and lakes in Manitoba.

He was an avid reader and book collector; knowledgeable in many subjects and would have been a great participant on Jeopardy which he watched daily. He enjoyed travelling Canada, honing his skills in photography.

Daniel had a quirky sense of humour, and enjoyed playing pranks and generally “messing with you” as he called it.

As per Daniel’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

Remember him in your own way by enjoying a walk, bike ride, fishing, or just sitting enjoying nature.
