With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Delores Larson in the early morning of June 15, 2026, at Seven Oaks Hospital, just shy of her 89th birthday.
In Betty’s earlier years, she was an avid curler winning many bonspiels. She had all her trophies displayed and would remember every event and where she won every single one! Betty had a daily routine. Loved completing numerous puzzles and sharing them with her nephew Merv. She enjoyed reading paperback novels by Danielle Steel and enjoyed her Sunday outings with Kevin at the McPhillips Street Casino. She had a very sharp memory and could remember events and talking about those “good old days”. She recently sold her condo and enjoyed meeting new friends at her new home, The Westhaven.
Betty is survived by her only son Kevin (Pat); and her step grandson Dylan (Gina); and many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews across Canada.
She was predeceased by her parents John and Louise Rathegaber; Husband Karl; 9 sisters Laura, Teenie, Katherine, Mary, Louise, Johanna, Audie, Wailma; and brothers Johan and Carl.
We would especially like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the Seven Oaks Hospital for the excellent care she was given following her unfortunate accident. Her pain is gone and she can now rest in peace!!
As per Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. Betty will be travelling, with family, to her final resting place in MacNutt, Saskatchewan where she was born and grew up…
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Rest in Peace Mom.
