Gary Roger Lamirande

Gary Lamirande passed away peacefully on April 15, surrounded by his loving family. He faced a long-standing health journey with unwavering courage, strength, and determination, never losing his love for life or for the people dear to him.

Gary was the devoted husband of Debbie Lamirande and a loving father to Kenneth Delorme, both of whom he cherished deeply. Family was the center of Gary’s life, and his love, guidance, and presence will be profoundly missed.

Born on August 7, 1958, Gary found great joy tending to his beautiful garden in the home he cherished. He had a lifelong love for dogs and shared his life with many beloved canine companions over the years. His compassion extended beyond his own home through his volunteer work with an animal rescue organization—an experience he truly enjoyed and took great pride in.

Gary is predeceased by his parents Roger Lamirande and Joyce Carter.

Gary is survived by his siblings Donald Lamirande (Terri), Lynda Brown (Dan), Cheryl Lamirande (Shane), and Bonny Lamirande, along with his nieces Autumn, Andria, Alissa, Faith, and Hope, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Linda MacKenzie (Chris), and his niece and nephew, Anna and Connor MacKenzie.  Gary cherished his role as the “Fun Uncle,” a title lovingly earned through unforgettable visits and adventures. Trips to Victoria and Calgary with Anna and Connor were always a highlight—filled with laughter, fun, and special memories that will be treasured forever.

Gary will be remembered for his resilience, kindness, gentle spirit, and his deep dedication to family, numerous friends, animals, and the simple joys of home and nature. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him – his wife, son, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephew, aunts and grand nieces and nephews.

A small family gathering to honor Gary’s life will be held later in the spring; a date will be announced at a later time.
