Keith Douglas McLarty

It’s with great sadness we announce that after a lengthy battle with cancer Keith Douglas McLarty passed away on May 21st, 2025, at the age of 90, with his family by his side.

Keith was born on February. 18th, 1935 in Franklin Manitoba.

Keith is survived by his wife Margaret; daughters Kimberly (Ann-Marie) and Shelley (Aaron); grandsons Trent (Lauren), Tyler, and Hunter; great-grandchildren Lincoln, Harlow, and Skye.

He was predeceased by his parents Neil and Edith McLarty; sister Ruth; brothers William, Don and Jack.

Keith started his job at Winnipeg Electric in 1952 and worked there until he retired from Winnipeg Hydro in January 1990. Along the way he met and married his wife Margaret on February. 27th, 1971. He loved to spend time out in his garden. Keith was a proud member of the Masons at Sturgeon Creek Lodge NO.145 for many years.

In keeping with Keith’s wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
