Lester Melvin Painter

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lester Melvin Painter (Les), born in Turtleford, Saskatchewan, to Roy and Mabel Painter. He was the eldest brother to Ruth, John, Ilene, and May, and a devoted father to Russ, Chris, and Angela. Les was also a proud grandfather to many grandchildren.

Starting his career with CN Rail, Les later married Michele, the love of his life. Together, they thrived in Dauphin before retiring to the East Coast and then returning to Manitoba, where they continued to share their lives.

A passionate enthusiast of classic cars, Les was well-respected in automotive circles. He was also an accomplished scuba diver, known for his underwater explorations. His family remembers him as a superhero, participating in Strongman competitions and showcasing remarkable strength.

Les’s unwavering devotion to Michele was evident in every aspect of their life together.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a trust established in support of Michele.

In keeping witth Les's wishes, cremation will take place and no formal service will be held at this time, we welcome you to share your thoughts and condolences with the family on our tribute page.
