Michael Aaron Rislund-Mayer

Michael Rislund-Mayer, born March 7, 1993, left us way too soon, on July 13th 2025. 

Left to mourn are his dad, Michael Mayer (Angela); along with her children Stacy (Lukas) and Tyler (Mhaiya); his Nana Judy Lightfoot; his Grandad Mike Mayer; and numerous aunties and uncles on his paternal side; his cousins Mathew and Samatha Tucker.

Also left to mourn are his mom, Kimberly Rislund (Marc); his Baba Jo Anne; his sisters, Jessica Rislund-Vercruysse and Sky Vercruysse; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on his maternal side.  Oh and let’s not forget his beloved dog and companion Otis, who will continue to be loved and cared for by Jessica.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert Rislund; and his grandad, Eric Lightfoot. 

Michael was known to most as "Mikey", and to some as "Turtle". He will be dearly missed by the many friends and family members who loved him so much. He was born with the most amazing dimples and had the biggest smile and heart to go along with them. He often went out of his way to make others feel included and seen. He could light up any room and, brought energy and happiness wherever he went. It was a true gift and blessing if you got to know Mikey and be loved by him. He had a great sense of humour, and it seemed his mission to make others happy and entertained.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Mikey's Life will be held at a later date.

Mikey had many friends and family that loved him and that he impacted in a profound way. We want to give them an opportunity to share their stories and memories.

Mike, Mikey, Turtle, we loved you so much and you were so valuable to us..........we hope to meet again.
