Richard John Yendrowich

It is with profound sadness we share the loss of Richard John Yendrowich, a wonderful husband, father, uncle and friend to many. He passed away December 15th at the age of 61 after a short battle with cancer. Born July 13, 1963, to John & Laura Yendrowich, he lived his life in Transcona in his childhood home.

Rick met his soul mate Bonnie in 1988, and they were married in 1993 for 31 wonderful years. They had two fabulous children Rachelle and Bryce and kept their roots in Transcona as they grew up.

He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, children Rachelle (Quinnell) and Bryce (Courtney). His brother Brian (Dena), as well as all his nephews and nieces. Predeceased by parents Laura & John, brothers Glen, Craig, David and Ronald.

Rick spent his whole career in the Trailer industry, most recently and for the last 19 years as a trailer body mechanic at Ocean Trailers. He was known as one of the most skilled trailer body mechanics across Canada and was nicknamed “The Professor” for his impeccable and meticulous work.

Rick loved to entertain whether it was at home or his forever happy place Lilac Resort. He was known as the master chef who could always be found in front of his BBQ or griddle cooking up a feast. His family was so important to him including his dogs Odie and Bailey.

Rick was a man of few words but would always be there to lend a hand to a friend in need. He would take the time to listen and never rushed to judge. His sense of humor was mischievous and sometimes goofy, but he always left an impression on everyone he met. Ricks kindness, humor and generosity will be missed more than words can describe.
