With great sadness we announce the passing of Rodney Ireland on January 5th, 2026, at the age of 70 years old.
He was Predeceased by his parents Walter and Marjorie; brother Terry; and sister Valerie.
Left to cherish his memories are his sisters Patricia, Debra, Lori; and brother Larry; along with many friends, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Rodney worked at Paliser for most of his adult life. Once he retired, he continued to get up early, 5:00 am, hop on the bus to go to McDonalds for 6:00 am, then walk to Kildonan place for 8:00 am, walk till 10:00 am, hop on the bus to come home. He made a lot of friends during his daily routine. He brought smiles to all who knew him. Many weekends and holidays were spent at Star Lake with family. Rodney spent a lot of time with his mom, this included going to church every Sunday. He always looked forward to going to church.
At Rodney’s request cremation has taken place and he will be placed along side his mom and dad at Green Acres, at another time. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 31st, 2026, at 1:00pm in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rodney’s memory may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church memorial fund.
