Stanley Rogoz Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley Paul Rogoz on October 17, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Stan put himself through the University of Manitoba by working various jobs—early signs of the determined, hard-working man he would remain throughout his life. Stan’s early love of motorcycles and nice cars met it’s match when he married his true love, Betty, in 1960

Stan began his career as an accountant and eventually became Controller of Claude Neon Signs western division. During this time, he also general contracted his family’s home in East St. Paul of which he took great pride in building. He later branched into business ownership with mobile homes and retail industries. Alongside his beloved wife Betty, in their later years, they managed several apartment buildings in both Winnipeg and Kelowna. While in Kelowna, Stan also worked airport security with the Commissionaires, proudly serving with his signature reliability and good humor.

Following Betty’s passing in 2017, Stan returned to Winnipeg. Though many would have slowed down, Stan kept busy, often saying, “What else am I going to do?” He remained active, working various jobs and staying involved in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was a curler, bowler, Winnipeg Jets and Bombers fan and enjoyed making his own wine. In his later years, one of his greatest pleasures was spending time at the cabin with family—enjoying good conversation, peaceful moments by the water, and lending a hand wherever he could.

Stan was predeceased by his wife, Betty, and lovingly remembered by his children Tony (Ingrit), Terri (Randy), and Tina (Ken). He leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren: Amanda, Adam, Garry, Sam, Evan, Justin, and Meghan and great-grandchildren Jaxson, Reily and Audrey.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Family Medicine and Spiritual Care for their care and support for Stan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stan’s memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future date to honour a man who lived with quiet strength, loyalty, and love.
