It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Wayne Good, who, after battling a courageous illness, passed away at the age of 68 at Vista Park Lodge. Wayne leaves behind his wife Margaret; daughter Alana (Curtis); granddaughters Alycia and Aryana; sister Diane (Hayward); mother-in-law Agnes; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Alice Good; sisters, Mondella (Jim), Ruby (Edgar), Judith; father-in-law, George; brother-in-law, Robert; and nephew Clayton.
Wayne was born in Little Bay East, Newfoundland, a place he proudly called home. Wayne left home at the age of 17, longing to explore Canada and the USA. In 1978, Wayne travelled west and made his way to Winnipeg, where he met and fell in love with his wife, Margaret.
Wayne was a lover of classic cars and classic rock, being outdoors, and would often spend his time visiting provincial parks, fishing, and biking throughout all 4 seasons. Wayne was a handyman and enjoyed building and fixing and could always be counted on to lend a hand to everyone. Family was the most important thing to Wayne. He was a proud father and grandfather and was there for every soccer, ringette, and volleyball game, Christmas concert, guitar recital, and graduation of his granddaughters. Wayne was a sports fan and enjoyed attending both Jets and Bombers games with his family and friends.
Our family wishes to thank all our family and friends for the visits and support we have received. We know Wayne appreciated every visit and call. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Wayne’s memory.
